Offline copy. Works with no internet. Records save in this browser and use the same backup file format as the online version.
Important: download your file after any change
Your campaigns and your own Metro, Campaign Target, Keyword Subject and Language values live in this browser only. Every time you save a campaign or change a value list, click Download backup (JSON) and keep that file. Use Upload backup file to restore it anywhere. The CSV is for sharing; the backup file is what restores everything.
Publisher → Campaign Type → Metro → State → Campaign Target → Keyword Subject → Language
This exact text is used as utm_campaign and inside the Google Ads tag, so the name and the tag can never drift apart — including when you reload and edit a saved campaign.
Paste into your ad account. Campaign name, source and medium are fixed from your selections; keyword, creative and campaign / ad group / match type / network / device come from the click. Use the tracking template or the final URL suffix — not both.
Paste this one template at the account level and every campaign inherits it. It captures the keyword, creative, campaign, ad group, match type, network, device, placement, geographic location and GCLID from every click.
gclid= with a long value
plus your utm values filled in.Google Ads uses the most specific template it finds: ad beats ad group, beats campaign, beats account. Keep this account template as your safety net; a campaign-level template from section 3 (which carries your fixed campaign name) overrides it only where pasted.
Metro, Campaign Target, Keyword Subject and Language only. Publisher, Type and State are fixed. Each metro is tied to a state, so only that state's metros appear once a state is picked.
Download a backup file every time you save a campaign or change a value list — it is the only way to keep your work if you clear this browser or switch computers.
